Allied Programs
United World College schools, colleges, and programs are located around the world. They provide a challenging and life-changing educational experience to a diverse cross section of students, inspiring them to create a more peaceful and sustainable future. Students accepted into the Davis UWC Scholars program must have graduated from UWC secondary schools. To learn more about the history of the programs, read our history and visit the UWC site.
Projects for Peace is an initiative open to all students at the partner schools of the Davis UWC Scholars Program. Students design grassroots, summer projects—anywhere in the world—which promote peace and address the root causes of conflict. Applicants are encouraged to be creative in their project design and to use innovative techniques that focus on conflict resolution, reconciliation, building understanding, and breaking down barriers that cause conflict, and to find solutions for resolving conflict and maintaining peace. Through a competition on over 90 campuses, selected projects each receive $10,000 in funding.
