Juan Sebastian Delgado, Boston Conservancy ’11 (Argentina, UWC Adriatic) a cellist, has performed at the Boston Schumann Festival, the New Music Festival in Boston, the cello festival Music for Salem in New York, the Scotia Music Festival in Canada, and the Texas Cello Festival in Dallas.
“I am currently in my first year of graduate school in cello performance at McGill University in Montreal,” Juan writes. “Here I have the opportunity to study under a world-known cellist, Matt Haimovitz, and to be part of a vibrant musical community. This past year was very meaningful to me. I toured in Japan as part of the Boston Tango trio, and worked with children of the favelas in Brazil as part of a music education Project for Peace. I am truly grateful to the Davis UWC Scholars Program for its constant and generous support.”
